2024 Edo State Election
The 2024 Edo State governorship election concluded with the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, securing a victory. Okpebholo won 11 out of the 18 local government areas (LGAs), while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo, won in 7 LGAs. The Labour Party candidate, Olumide Akpata, trailed in third place.
In total, Okpebholo of the APC garnered 291,667 votes, ahead of Ighodalo's 247,274 votes from the PDP, and Akpata's 22,763 votes from the Labour Party. This election marks a significant victory for the APC as Okpebholo is set to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki
